Fruits of Malaysia

There are so many cool fruits here that I have never seen before. Here are just a few and they are delicious:

This is a custard apple which tastes a bit like a pineapple and has the texture of a banana:



This is a rose apple which reminds me of a watery yet refreshing apple:


This is a snake fruit which is hard to describe but is a bit tangy:

This is called longan which is quite similar to lychee or rambutan which they also have here in Malaysia:











I was familiar with dragon fruit and jack fruit but they are very pretty and delicious, nonetheless:




There are many varieties of mangoes and types of melons:


And there are many types of bananas which are much more flavorful than the standard Cavendish/Dole banana including this red one and these finger ones!



My favorite fruit so far has been the mangosteen! It has a white creamy center and tastes a bit like a sweet strawberry:
